Gazprom increased deliveries of gas to Europe to 95.7 billion cubic meters in the January-June 2017 period, which is 12.3% more than in the same period last year, stated Alexey Miller, CEO of Gazprom, on Friday, June 30.

– The demand for gas has continued growing in 2017. The annual exports increased by 12.3%, or by 10.5 billion cubic meters in the first six months of the current year – Miller said at the AGM, as reported by the Russian agency TASS.

Gazprom’s deliveries of gas to the European market, according to Miller, have grown by 30.4 billion cubic meters in a year and a half.

– This matches the capacity of the Turkish Stream and amounts to double the capacities of Nord Stream 2 – Miller pointed out.

Europe continues to show great need for imported gas due to a growing demand and a drop in production, Miller believes.
