President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated that the goal of the Government of Serbia was to employ 4,000 workers in Krusevac, in the German company Kromberg & Schubert, the biggest producer of car industry components.

– People are still unaware what kind of effect this factory will have on Krusevac and the entire district – Vucic said to the press while taking a tour of the factory and added that he was proud that the government had reached a just decision on subsidies.

As he said, Serbia wouldn't have been able to get such a good factory if subsidies had not been provided.

– We have provided better conditions and said to the investors that, whatever they are offered in the neighborhood, we will offer more. If they had asked for more, we would have given it to them, and we have already given a lot, as they are to employ 4,000 workers in Krusevac – he said and urged the young to apply for the jobs in the factory, the biggest one in the Rasina District.

The investment of the German company in Krusevac is worth nearly EUR 29 million, and the Government of Serbia has supported the project with 9.5 million in incentives, whereas the city has provided 6.2 hectares of land.

As Vucic explained, the factory should employ 300 people by the end of the year, 600 by March 2018 and 2,500 in the next five years, whereas the goal of the Government of Serbia is for the number of employees to grow to 4,000.

The German investor has been building a 24,000-m2 facility in Krusevac since March. The facility will feature 18,000 m2 of production space, and it will produce cables, wiring systems and injection technology-based products for the automotive industry.

The works are supposed to be completed on December 21, 2017, and the production should start in March 2018.
