Location requirements for continuation of construction of Prokop railway station obtained
The location requirements envisage the continuation of the works in stages and will entail, among other things, the construction of a station building, traffic routes inside the complex and access roads, the ministry reported.
Following the completion of the works on the first stage of the project, the Prokop railway station was put into operation in January 2016, 40 years after the construction began, the press release reminds.
Today, aside from BG Voz, trains set out from this station towards Novi Sad, Sid and Nis, and, beginning with July 15, after the first phase of the works on the reconstruction of the Resnik-Valjevo railway have been completed, departures for Uzice and Bar are planned as well.
The second stage entails the construction of the station building, the upper floor of the station, meant for commercial features, as well as the traffic and passenger access to Prokop from the highway and the outer city traffic routes.
