The Croatian concern Agrokor has refuted the information that it has offered the Serbia-based companies Frikom and Dijamant as guarantees for a new loan. The official Agrokor PR agency in Serbia, Right, has said that these allegations are “not true”.

Citing a source close to Agrokor, Seebiz reported the information published by the portal Lider that Frikom and Dijamant might be offered as guarantees for further financing the concern, in line with the priority right defined by Lex Agrokor.

Creditors with this status, as the media reported, have the right of priority over other creditors in the collection of claims. As reported, the possibility of a rollover, i.e. taking out new loans in order to repay the old ones, is being considered.

The purpose of the new loan of around EUR 200 million, the agreement on which is believed to take place next week, is, among other things, to refinance old debts of Agrokor's suppliers, as was the case with the initial loan of EUR 80 million, approved after the adoption of Lex Agrokor.
