Gazprom and Srbijagas to increase capacities of Banatski Dvor storage – Potential expansion to 750 million m3
As reported by the Russian company on its website, the document envisages the preparation of a technical and a financial feasibility study of the expansion of the capacities of Banatski Dvor.
Depending on the results of the studies, the capacity of the underground gas storage might increase from 450 to 750 million cubic meters.
The memorandum was signed during the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, held on June 1-3.
Gazprom owns 51% of Banatski Dvor, whereas Srbijagas owns 49%.
In a separate press release, Gazprom also said that it had delivered 4.3% more gas to Serbia in 2016 than in 2015 and that the demand for Russian gas had increased considerably, by 42%, in the January-May period of 2017, compared to the corresponding period of 2016.
