Ninko Tesic, CEO of Impol Seval, says that the beginning of the new business year, following the record-breaking production and finance results from 2016, is solid. According to him, the production is slightly below the plan, with a lower output at the coating line.

Tesic repeated that the company was planning to make big investments in the next period, in line with its development strategy until 2025, by far the most important part of which are activities related to the modernization of the hot-rolling facility.

According to Tesic, as Wisebroker reports, the operations at the hot-rolling mill were first halted on April 3, which shouldn't interfere with carrying out the plan.

– Our goal is to produce 51,000 tons of cold-rolled products and we will stick to it. In April, while the hot-rolling mill is not operational, the cold-rolling mill and the rest of the factory are operating as usual. In the summer months, we will be preparing series of 1,500 tons of hot-rolled strips for the period from September 15 till October 15, when there should be another halt in the operations of the hot-rolling mill, so as to have enough steel strips. If we do so, neither the annual plan nor the annual operations will be put in question – Tesic said.
