Representatives of Pančevo's Port "Dunav" announced construction of container terminal in near future

The representatives of the Pančevo port of "Dunav" announced at the Technology Fair in Belgrade that they planned to start construction of container terminal in the near future, as well as to build additional 100 meters of quay on the existing terminal for general freights.

As the authorized people pointed out, the intention is to create a modern logistic cargo-transportation center with the focus on multimodal transportation system. That is why the existing indoor and outdoor storage capacities for general and special purpose will be broadened.

Storage capacities currently consist of 12 public and customs indoor warehouses, at surface of 30,000 square meters, as well as outdoor warehouses for general freights at surface of 100,000 square meters. The parking for freight vehicles has been organized at the surface of 20,000 square meters.

Total capacity of the port is now 5,000 tons of dispersed and general freights on daily basis.

The port is on Pan-European Corridor 7 for river-naval navigation and on Corridor 10 for road-railway traffic.
