Late April to see Serbia and China signing memorandum on food safety - Apart from meat, dairy products export possible
It has been a year since the talks about placement of beef and lamb meat in China has begun, after the return of Prime Minister Vucic from this country. Despite skeptical comments that for Serbia it would be virtually impossible, Nedimovic assures that the conclusion of this transaction is close to an end.
He
says there are three certified facilities for beef and lamb meat exports to
China. Companies
Djurdjevic, Neoplanta and Yuhor are waiting for the official announcement of
the Chinese Food Safety Agency.
- - In the meantime, it was
agreed that cooperation will be extended to exports of dairy products and some
of our companies are interested in the opportunity. In
some parts, Chinese food safety regulations are far stricter than the local
ones – Nedimovic says and mentions that six Chinese companies are interested in meat processing
which is coming from our country.
Nedimovic points out that for political reasons, China is interested in taking everything we can produce.
