Leoni to employ 200 new workers in Prokuplje – Company to have 7,000 workers in Serbia in late 2017
– In the past year, we've already employed around 700 workers as part of this project and we are now continuing the successful cooperation with the local self-government. The workers will go through a two-month training program in our facilities, after which they will sign a six-month contract with Leoni. After that, whether the contracts will be extended or not depends on them – said Deputy General Manager of Leoni Aleksandra Pesic.
She points out that the company's capacities are being extended daily and that the plan is to employ around 3,000 workers in the Prokuplje facility, that is, to have over 7,000 workers in all Leoni's facilities in southern Serbia, including those in Malosiste and Nis, by the end of 2017.
Member of the Municipal Council of Prokuplje, Milan Arandjelovic, reminds that earlier experiences show that Leoni tends to keep the workers who want to stay and work and adds that the factory has become the biggest business entity in the municipality.
All trainees have gone through previous testing, and the application is carried out through the Prokuplje office of the National Employment Service.
During the training, they will be paid a fee of RSD 6,000 a month, will be insured from workplace injury and occupational disease, and the candidates will be provided with transport in both directions.
