Novi Sad signs protocol of intentions with Siemens – Aiming to enhance transport, energy efficiency and utility service
– Novi Sad, in addition to Belgrade and Nis, is a city which has recognized Siemens as a partner and started solving some chronic problems impacting the lives of our citizens this way – said mayor of Novi Sad Milos Vucevic.
– We always need support by the companies possessing knowledge and quality professionals, which can facilitate problem solving. The protocol of intentions is an initial act expressing agreement between the two sides about cooperation in solving problems in transport, energy efficiency and utility service above all, especially in water supply and heating – he added.
Vucevic says that one of the priorities in the development of the city in the coming period is the Integrated Transport Management Strategy.
Udo Eichlinger, CEO of Siemens, said that he was pleased that the company continued realizing strategic initiatives in further activities in Serbia in Novi Sad.
– This is the first step in the future cooperation, which envisions an integrated approach and an all-encompassing analysis. Joint teams of the city and the company will look into potentials and needs of both sides within workshops, in line with the signed protocol, all to the end of enhancing the quality of life in the city. I believe that we will come to an agreement on the first steps to be made in the next six months, of which the public will be notified on time – Eichlinger said.
