Successful year for Schneider Electric Serbia – Company announces participation in big projects in 2017, focus of hotel, office and retail complexes
Furthermore, Schneider Electric was engaged to a great extent in the field of building transport infrastructure, i.e. the construction of the Bar-Boljare highway in Montenegro. Another important project they were involved in was the Societe Generale building in Belgrade, where they installed the first electric car charger.
The head of Schneider Electric Serbia, Dejan Markovic, announces that the company’s goal in 2017 is to take part in big infrastructural or commercial projects, with residential, hotel and retail complexes in Serbia and Montenegro being the most attractive.
Schneider Electric specializes in energy management and automation globally. In 2015, their revenues exceeded EUR 26.6 billion and they had more than 160,000 employees in over 100 countries. Dejan Markovic says that the 2016 results are not yet final, but that they are expected to be similarly successful. It’s important to note that Schneider Electric invests 5% of its annual revenues in innovations and that this trend will continue.
– When I look back on 2016, I can say that it was a very fruitful and successful year. It’s very important to us that the municipalities in Serbia were very active and that they either proposed or started realizing a large number of projects in the fields of infrastructure, energy and tourism, which meant more activity and support in carrying out the projects on our part as well – Markovic says.
– The arrival of new foreign investors in Serbia was also very important, as it led to more work.
Although he can’t yet discuss the details of the new projects, which are currently being planned or negotiated about, Markovic says that they will be oriented towards the construction of hotel and office complexes. One of the projects they hope to take part in is the new GTC facility, i.e. Ada Mall, the future shopping mall in close proximity to Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade.
Schenider Electric has been present in Serbia since 1997 and has been operating as a limited liability company since 2002. In addition to its Belgrade headquarters, which acts as a commercial center for Serbia and Montenegro, it also has a development center in Novi Sad – Schneider Electric DMS NS.
In this center, over 1,000 young professionals develop smart grid software solutions. Schneider Electric DMS NS is one of SE’s four centers in the world for research, development and production of software for optimal electricity distribution management and they cooperate with all the states the company operates in.
Together with renowned local companies authorized for installing the company’s equipment, Schneider Electric continues to build a network of local partners in 2017 as well.
– This way, we support the local economy and entrepreneurship with our sustainable and responsible operations – the company says.
The integrated solutions that Schneider Electric is famous for in the fields of energy and automation, infrastructure, industrial processes, facility automation, data centers, as well as in housing and construction, are specific, since SE implements innovations at each level. Power and automation are redefined in the new world of energy and the Internet of Things allows for the installation and connecting of various sensors to the end of establishing the function of real-time recognition, monitoring, analysis and supervision and facility management. In Schneider Electric, they call this Innovation at Every Level.
Through their solutions - from the simplest switches to complex operating systems, their technolgies, software and services, the company enhances energy management and automates its clients' operations. These interconnected technologies are reshaping industries, transforming cities and enriching lives.
As Dejan Markovic says, there are 73 electricity distribution systems and 157 control centers covered by Schneider Electric’s energy management systems in the world at the moment.
We hope that there will be more of them, as our Novi Sad team is working hard, Markovic added and reminded that Schneider Electric DMS expanded its team each year and that they had a great cooperation with the Faculty of Technical Sciences, but also with vocational schools in the field.
