Triglav Group expecting around EUR 80 million in profit in 2017 – Company presents operating strategy until 2020

Slovenia's Triglav Group has published its business plan for 2017 and the strategy for the 2017-2020 period. The company is planning to continue its financially stable and profitable operations in 2017, as well as a gross operating income of EUR 70-80 million, with around EUR 930 million of consolidated gross insurance premium received.

The main strategic activities, as the company reported, will be insurance and property management. The goal is for Triglav to become the leading provider of innovative insurance service and property management products in its markets in South East Europe by 2020.

The Triglav Group remains present in the six states of South East Europe, in which it will be developing organically, while acquisitions are not out of the question either, provided adequate opportunities. A long-term, accelerated growth of the insurance market is expected in the region it operates in, leading to an increase of the share of the joint premium received by Triglav outside Slovenia.

The company intends to further develop markets in the region, and it will invest primarily in those insurance activities expected to grow the most – life, health and pension insurance.

Andrej Slapar, President of the Management Board at Zavarovalnica Triglav, says that the company is entering the next strategic period ambitiously and with clearly defined goals. – We see ourselves as a modern, digital insurance-financial group occupying the leading spot in the region, recognized for its many competitive advantages, which we will further strengthen, while keeping our operations financially stable and profitable – he added.
