The Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has continued renovating Terminal 1, and, by the beginning of the next summer season, when the works are supposed to be completed, passengers will have 33 new check-in counters at their disposal.

In addition to the works on the terminal, the Airport is planning to adapt the roof to include an overlook.

Expanding the capacities is necessary to both the airport and Air Serbia, because, as the acting director general of the Belgrade Airport, Sasa Vlaisavljevic, recently said, around 4.6 million passengers have been served in 2016 so far, with over 4.9 million expected by the end of the year.

Both entrances to Terminal 1 will be closed while the construction works last, but the counters as well as the passport control, will continue to work regularly during the reconstruction.
