The German company B. Stumpp & Baier has employed 80 of 180 former workers from Boreli's facility in Sombor.

The workers were employed following the decision made by the Commercial Court of Sombor to declare DP Boreli Sombor bankrupt due to unsettled liabilities amounting to RSD 1,849,000,000 and the account blockage of around RSD 750,707,723.

They will be employed in boot-making, and the German company has announced the employment of an additional 30 workers.

– The company is interested in purchasing the production machinery of Boreli in order to continue producing in the Sombor facility and to expand the production, and the Germans used parts of the facility and the work force before the bankruptcy as well – explained the president of the Autonomous Trade Union of Boreli, Stipan Egzeta.
