Center for employment in Germany opens in Belgrade
The first DIMAK Center will open on November 28 in Koste Abrasevica Street and will work from 7:30 am till 3 pm.
The agreement on opening the center was signed by the state secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy, Nenad Ivanisevic, the director of the National Employment Service, Zoran Martinovic, the senior manager of the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), Luiz Ramalho, and the director of GIZ Serbia, Gerhard Sippel.
The aim of DIMAK will be to provide reliable information and advice on prerequisites for working in Germany, training programs, studies or professional specialization.
Ivanisevic said at the signing ceremony that it was important for Serbian citizens to be provided with relevant information before opting to migrate.
Martinovic said that Germany was the most popular country for migrations and that around 200-300 people leave Serbia annually, looking for a job in accordance with the agreement between the National Employment Service and the Federal Employment Agency of Germany.
– This is controlled leaving, regulated by labor contracts and the conditions of the departure – Martinovic emphasized and added that a much larger number of citizens left through different means.
Ramalho said that the Belgrade office would organize training and workshops and provide advice.
The head of the Central international Mediation Employment Agency (ZAV) of the Federal Employment Agency of Germany, Gerald Schomman, said to the press that Germany needed medical workers, clinical staff and staff in retirement homes, caretakers, but also electrical and metallurgical engineers, as well as numerous experts without academic titles.
– Germany needs a lot of experts in various areas – he added.
