Lear commencing production in new hall – American company continuing to operate in Port of Novi Sad facility as well
– The City of Novi Sad has completed its end of the deal within the deadline. Starting with Monday, the first production lines in this hall are becoming operational. Lear has employed more than 1,000 people in Novi Sad, and the good news is that they are planning to keep the hall at the Port of Novi Sad for now as well, as they have additional jobs down the line. This is encouraging for us, as it indicates the possibilities of more employments than agreed – Vucevic said.
The mayor of Novi Sad thanked Lear for a great cooperation and said that the negotiations had been demanding as each detail had been carefully considered.
Vucevic added that the most important thing was that De Torres had told him that Lear was more than satisfied with conditions provided at the facility.
