The Belgrade Investment Days forum, which will bring together numerous investors interested in investing in Serbia, will be held on October 25-26 at Sava Centar.

The assistant mayor of Belgrade, Borko Milosavljevic, said that the forum aimed to promote the investment potential of Belgrade, the Republic of Serbia, Vojvodina and other cities and municipalities of Serbia, Beoinfo reports.

– The City of Belgrade will present its investment projects at the forum, and the investment portfolio to be presented by Belgrade is worth over EUR 3 billion – he said and added that the forum would be attended by representatives of the Government of Serbia, who will present Serbia's economic environment.

He added that Belgrade would group the projects together by focusing on developmental infrastructural projects, but that a lot of attention would also be paid to free economic zones in Belgrade, which is becoming an attractive market for investments.

Milosavljevic said that the panel which should close the forum would be oriented towards the experiences of large companies operating in Serbia, so that representatives of those companies would highlight the advantages of operating in Serbia, as well as point to the areas which needed to improve.

The executive director of the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade, Svetozar Krstic, said that Belgrade and Serbia would be presented at the forum in “the best light” and that the forum should bring together investors from several continents.

– We have 30 prepared projects of private investors, that is, owners of the domestic capital, in various areas – 11 in agriculture, 11 in industry, four in construction, four in ecology – Krstic said and added that representatives of chambers from Republika Srpska had also been invited to present their projects at the forum.

The president of the Central European Development Forum, Ana Bovan, said that the forum made Belgrade into a brand and confirmed its place on the investment map of Europe.

– We have gathered over 80 projects in the areas of energy, infrastructure and tourism so far – Ana Bovan said and added that more projects would be presented at the forum.
