"Soko Štark" to increase production in 2008 by 15%
Belgrade-based
company "Soko Štark" plans to increase production in 2008 by 15%. Company "Soko Štark" will
increase production this year to 25,000 tons of confectioneries, which is 15%
more than in 2007.
- Last year, "Soko Štark" increased production by about 17%,
that is, total of 23,000 tons of confectioneries was produced and sold - said
the representative of the company’s PR sector, Marina Savić.
She said that,
with the productivity of 19 tons per employee, Soko Start came close to
European standards for the confectionery industry.
Savić pointed out that the last-year income of "Soko Štark" had amounted to 65m EUR, and that 5m EUR had been invested in improvement of production.
Further positioning of all brands of "Soko Štark" on the markets of countries of former Yugoslavia and the work on chocolate assortment of the company are included in the plan for this year, but the company did not want to specify the amount of investments.
