Kusturica to have multiplex cinema built in Kragujevac
- I have seriously taken in consideration the possibility to have a multimplex cinema built in Kragujevac and to start defending Serbian movies in that way - said director Emir Kusturica. As he explains, the defense of domestic production in the cinemas will start in the center of Šumadija, and it will be resumed with the construction of several cinemas in Belgrade.
– As President of the Administrative Board of the Film Center, I took the responsibility to do something good for the domestic film. My intention is to return our film to the place it deserves – Kusturica announced.
According to his words, during the talks with the Mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanović, the idea of construction of one multiplex cinema in Kragujevac was seriously taken in consideration. The construction of that cinema would be followed by development of two modern cinema centers in Belgrade, which would be showing exclusively domestic films.
