Construction of the Kragujevac-Batocina highway to be completed by May 2017

The most difficult section of Corridor X – Grdelica gorge – will be completed next year and link Kragujevac to Batocina, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic stated recently.

When asked if the priority was to link Kragujevac to Corridor X, as was promised to Fiat eight years ago, she answered that the project was in progress and that six kilometers of the road would be open in August.

– It's interesting to note that the project, from 2008 until we took over, was exclusively in charge of ministries run by Mladjan Dinkic. We insisted that all the major infrastructural projects be in our responsibility and the estimate is that the job could be completed by May 2017 – Mihajlovic said.
