Canadians to participate in building local railway – Bombardier Transportation-Signal contractor for the Resnik-Valjevo section

The value of the construction work in over USD 7 mil. Bombardier Transportation will carry out, as a subcontractor, construction and montage work at adjusting and regulating the Resnik-Valjevo railway of 77 km of length, before it opens to traffic. The work will start at the beginning of July, announced RZD International.

As well, equipment will be delivered for the reconstruction of SS and TT device systems at the 77 km long Resnik-Valjevo section, which is part of the Belgrade-Bar (Montenegro) railway.

According to Annex 4 attached to the main agreement between RZD International and Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije (Railway Infrastructure of Serbia), reconstruction will be done on the subgrade, upper track structure, tunnels and bridges, overhead contact lines, signalization and telecommunication system, and the repair of all infrastructural objects along the railway.

Bombardier Transportation-Signal is a joint venture between the Canadian company Bombardier Transportation and RZD, founded in 1996. The main area of the company's operations is adapting and implementing modern solutions in the field of railway automation (SS and TT).
