eKapija round table “IT Human Resources – Potential for or Obstacle to Development?” on 14 June 2016
The answer to this question largely depends on the availability and the quality of the human resources. Already today companies in Serbia are facing the lack of experts in IT, especially in “senior” positions. This lack is an additional factor to the lowering of the value of IT experts and is threatening to bring down the competitiveness of the Serbian IT industry.
The topics which will be discussed at the round table include: In what capacity can educational institutions address the increasing demand for human resources in IT through both formal and informal education? Can curriculums be adjusted to meet the needs of the economy? Is it necessary to reform the educational system for Serbia’s IT industry to continue growing? How much can the state influence the increase in the number of IT human resources through laws and legislations? Can we, as a state and a society, influence the increase in the number of women in the IT sector and how?
eKapija has invited eminent experts and university professors, representatives of the ministries in charge, IT business associations, foreign and local companies and the media to attend the round table.
The partner of eKapija’s first round table is company Endava.
Our goal is to send from this round table suggestions about what needs to change, so that we don’t miss a remarkable opportunity for the development of the IT industry in Serbia. We invite you to participate in the round table “IT Human Resources – Potential for or Obstacle to Development?”
