Miteco to open recycling complex in Rakovica on May 12, investment worth EUR 2.3 mln
The complex was built on the foundations of the first secondary raw materials collection point in Belgrade's Rakovica municipality, established 50 years ago.
Following a reconstruction of the old Rakovica plant, a new recycling plant was built to recycle large end-of-life industrial machinery (transformers, engines, generators). In addition to creating 30 jobs, the plant's launch will help accelerate the development of Belgrade and Serbia with regards to the recycling industry.
Also, together with the transfer station for hazardous waste and the mobile plant for remediating PCB-polluted locations, the plant will make it possible to provide integral waste management services and help create an environment for attracting foreign investors.
