A total of 500 Austrian firms invest in Serbia

Deputy Mayor of Vienna Johan Gudenus pointed out that Vienna-based companies are the largest investors in the Western Balkans.

He said these excellent economic relations should be encouraged in economically difficult times as well. He reminded, at the Economic Forum in the Republic of Serbian , as stated in a statement , that Austria is in Serbia , but also in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the largest investor, adding that the largest proportion of goes to companies from Vienna.

Gudenus said 500 Austrian companies, according to data from the Chamber of Commerce of Austria in Serbia invested EUR 2.8 billion and the share of Viennese companies is EUR 1.8 billion.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, as he explained , out of 400 present Austrian companies, 50 is from Vienna and with 1.6 billion Austria is the biggest investor .

During the Economic Forum, Gudenus met with President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik and Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic .

In these discussions, current European development and economic cooperation were discussed.
