Additional boost for good business relations - Belgrade sees German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce

In order to further strengthen economic and business ties between businessmen of the two countries, last night in Belgrade the German- Serbian Chamber of Commerce ( AHK Serbia ) was set up .
It is the first bilateral chamber founded under the new Law on Chambers of Commerce in Serbia. The setup emerged on the basis of the agreement of governments of both countries and German-
Serbian Chamber of Commerce has four priorities: services and support to member companies interested in doing business in Germany and Serbiarepresenting the interests of German companies to Serbian partner companies , the Center of the Network of German and Serbian representative economy and improving dual education in Serbia.

(Ronald Seeliger) - German-Serbian Business Association has represented the interests of 15 Serbian and German businessmen, a formalization of the German- Serbian Chamber of Commerce resulted in order from the German and Serbian governments to intensify cooperation - he said.

Head of the Delegation of German economy in Serbia Martin Knapp said that abroad there are 90 bilateral German chambers of commerce and that when they decide to set up another one in the country with reform process and transition, it means that this reform and transition are coming to an end . According to him, the setup of the German- Serbian Chamber of Commerce is also a message to German investors to come to Serbia because it they can make a good business here. Knapp said one of the tasks is to find "how we can use Serbian industrial capacities for German industry that is constantly looking for good suppliers"

(Martin Knapp ) President of Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Cadez said that when talking to businessmen in Germany , and when talking about what Serbia did , the first question is whether there is the German- Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Setup of the German- Serbian Chamber of Commerce, according to him, is a great gesture of friendship , trust and commitment to create in the future even stronger and more powerful ties that can get us closer.
