Serbia and Bulgaria signed Agreement on economic collaboration
Minister of Economy and Regional Development of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, and Minister of Economy and Energy of Bulgaria, Petar Dmitrov, signed the Agreement on economic collaboration on Friday (November 30, 2007).
- This Agreement ensures continuity and conditions for further development of economic cooperation with Bulgaria after its admission into European Union - Ministry of Economy and REgional Development announced.
The two countries will stimulate economic relations with the activities whose aim is development of cooperation, especially in fields of industry, agriculture, forestry, energy, researches and development, building industry, cooperation between small and mid-sized enterprises.
The first step in implementation of that Agreement is forming of mixed commission for economic cooperation for the sake of making realization of agreed activities from the Agreement easier.
The interest of both countries is to intensify mutual investment activities and to increase the scope of trade exchange through application of the Agreement, as well as to bring the level of exchange of goods into balance.
During their talks, Dinkić and Dmitrova estimated cooperation in energy sector (projects: South Brook and Niš-Dupnica) and in field of tourism (the area of Stara Mountain) as extremely significant, as well as completion of part of Corridor 10 towards Bulgarian border.
