Serbian Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic and Belarus Trade Minister Vladimir Koltovich signed a Protocol on Cooperation between Serbia and Belarus today in Minsk on the basis of conclusions adopted by the Business Council of two countries' chambers of commerce.
They underlined at the 9th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation that the previous year had seen a positive trend in trade and economic relations between Serbia and Belarus, pointing to an excellent potential for cooperation in several different fields in the following period.

After signing the Protocol, Koltovich noted that the trade between the two countries had grown 3.4% in 2015, reminding that Serbia and Belarus had also signed a Free Trade Agreement.

According to the data provided by the competent Belarus ministry, trade between the two countries in 2015 was at USD 253 million, up 3.4% from 2014. January 2016 pushed the trade figures up 14.4% and it would be great to keep the growth rate at that level by the year's end, Koltovich stressed.
