NIS to build gas storage in Srpski Itebej?
NIS would be ready to invest in this project on its own or, if the Government of Serbia decides otherwise, to share the job with interested partners - most likely with Srbijagas, which two years ago announced an investment in this second gas storage, Politika finds out from its sources close to this oil company .
The storage capacity is estimated at one billion cubic meters. If we take into account the announcement of Dusan Bajatovic , Director General of head of Srbijagas that the construction of the second stage of the gas storage Banatski Dvor should start this year, as well as maybe Srpski Itebej (which is about two billion cubic meters) , this would bring Serbia into position of a regional player. Serbia would thus almost completely cover its domestic needs for gas of 2,1 to 2,5 billion cubic per year.
