GIZ provides EUR 3 m for waste and waste waters management project in Serbia
The agreement was signed the minister of agriculture Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic, head of GIZ Serbia,Sigmund Miler IMPACT project leader, Klaus Schmit .
BogosavljevicBoskovic outlined that the project totals EUR 3 m and that the funds are setaside by the Government of Germany though GIZ.
She said theproject supports innovations in the field of recycling and waste re-usage andthat it limits waste disposal, cuts losses in resources, supports changes in behaviorand create environment for vacancies.
According to her, IMPACTis continuation of the project which started in 2012 and it is its second stagewhose implementation is expected in the next three years.
Head of GIZ Serbia, Sigmund Miler said the project will, for the beginning, be implemented in five pilot municipalities - Kursumlija, Aleksinac, Bela Crkva, Svilajnac and Krupanj and later in other municipalities as well.
He outlined it is very important that these projects carry out continuously, reminding that current cooperation of two countries has been very successful.
