"Imlek" - new owner of Bitola's IMB dairy - investment worth 27m EUR

Belgrade-based dairy "Imlek" has bought 74.5% of stocks of Macedonian dairy IMB in Bitola, which made it the majority owner of the largest manufacturer of dairy products in Macedonia. This was announced yesterday (October 25, 2007) by the officials of "Danube foods group", which owns 80% of stocks in "Imlek".

- Value of the transaction is 27m EUR, that is, each of 81,002 stocks was paid 20,196 MKD - said the Manager of the group for corporate and legal affairs, Rade Pribićević, at the press conference in Bitola.

- The Administrative Board of dairy IMB-Bitola previously held meeting and all members of the administration resigned from their positions at that meeting - Macedonian Agency MIA announced.

- All employees in the dairy will keep their jobs and some new people will be employed - said General Manager of "Imlek", Petros Gemincis.

- We will make business plan by the end of the year and the aims will be improvement of milk production, enlargement of capacities of the dairy and production assortment, as well as expansion of regional distributive network - Gemincis added.
