Serbia collects EUR 1,2 billion of foreign direct investments in the first nine months 2015

Minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, said on Friday evening ( Novemeber13, 2015.) that Serbia, as a result of reforms, in the first nine months collected foreign direct investments totaling EUR 1,2 billion.

It is, he added 20% more compared to the previous period.

- It is a serious progress compared to the previous period – Sertic said at the first annual convention of the Senate of business of Serbia.

According to his words, objective of Serbia is to be the first investment destination of Southeast Europe and an example for EU countries.

When addressing Austrian investors and diplomats, the minister reminded that investments from that country exceeded EUR 3,5 billion as well as that some 400 Austrian companies operates in Serbia.

He added that new laws on planning and construction, conversion, investments which make Serbia more desirable place for invest in have been adopted.
