Revitalization of Zvornik hydro power plant totaling EUR 70 m starts
The minister of mining and energy, Aleksandar Antic, who attended with the EPS management the work start, said that the project will be funded from the loan of the German development bank EPS (KfW) and outlined that power of the electric plant will increase by 30%, and electricity production by 15% or for 70 million kilowatt-hours per year. In money, it totals EUR three to five million per year, Antic said at the press conference in Mali Zvornik.
He outlined that the objective is to extend life of electric power plant which has been successful in operations for 60 years now to 40 years as well as that after revitalization of hydro power plant, environmental situation at the Drina where that hydro power plant operates on will be developed Works which , Voith Hydro will carry out, on every out of four aggregates of HE Zvornik will last 12 months each and will end in four years.
After revitalization, total aggregate power will be 125,6 megawatts which is 30% more compared to current one of 96 megawatts.Most Important News
