Stara Pazova starts development of the central block 4
When asked what amenities are expected to be found on the surface area covered by the project once completed, the officials of Stara Pazova municipality say to eKapija that the Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the future complex on 5.3 hectares will define the rules of regulation and construction and provide guidelines for the construction of residential and business facilities, business and commercial buildings, public areas and facilities for public use as well as individual and collective residential buildings, etc.
As explained by the officials of this municipality, the Comprehensive Land Use Plan will serve as the basis for issuing building permits and an instrument for attracting investors and developing operations in the municipality of Stara Pazova.
The project will be implemented with technical support of the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy, SKL International and Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities of Serbia, it was announced on the official web page of Stara Pazova.
Stara Pazova officials explain to eKapija that they are still at the very beginning of the project implementation.
The entire funding for this project will be provided from Stara Pazova's own resources. In the current phase, there is still no detailed calculation of the total value of this project. All project activities will be financed through the running expenses of functioning of the local self-government in Stara Pazova. An approximate cost of project implementation is RSD 3 million.
Preparation of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan is financed by the Stara Pazova Development Directorate, whereas the activities of the project team and expert committees are financed with current assets.
It should be noted that the Swedish integral planning approach Symbio City will be applied to the implementation of this project.
When asked to give the reason for applying this approach and to which aim, people at the Stara Pazova municipality say that, in line with the guidelines of the open competition launched by Swedish partners, Symbio City was a mandatory method to use in the project implementation.
As they explain, the Symbio City approach promotes integral, holistic and multidisciplinary approach to sustainable urban development with the aim of improving the quality of environment through efficient use of resources and synergy of different urban systems.
Implementation of this project is expected to be finished in June 2016.
