October to see trains at new Gilje-Cuprija-Paracin track
Italian company, Italiana construzioni CAF is nearing an end the works on the construction of two-track railroad Gilje-Cuprija-Paracin, so 26 years after, Serbia will get new kilometers of railway at Corridor 10. The section 10,5 km long was designed for train speeds of 167 km per hour and the work of Italian company is monitored by experts of Siemens company which have been finishing electrical contact network and placing signal devices, Tanjug reports.
Constructors are expecting these days to finalize date of works completion which will be decided byt the Ministry of traffic and construction and that railway is put into operations in October. A few dats ago, the works were visited by GM of Zeleznice Srbije, Milorad Stojcic.
The construction of the bridge and this railroad section was funded through the EIB loan and the inestor is Zeleznice Srbije.
