Despite the fact it is relatively young, Serbia's gaming industry quickly grew into one of the global leaders. Judging by a research done by Newzoo, Serbia generated a revenue of USD 46.7 million from the development of video games in 2014, and the gaming market corresponds to those in Europe, America or Britain.
A research done by the University of Novi Sad has shown that players from Serbia love "World of Warcraft", "Counter Strike" and "Call of Duty", and that one of the greatest development teams is Nordeus with their game "Top Eleven". This game is the world's most popular sports game, with over 100 million registered players, and it is played on mobile phones.
Another big player is Eipix Entertainment which even worked with Smitsonian Institute in 2014 to create "Hidden Expedition: Smithsonian Hope Diamond", the web portal MCV reports.
