Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali pointed out Monday in a talk with the newly appointed director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Daniel Berg, that he hoped for ever more successful cooperation between the City of Belgrade and the EBRD, it was announced on the Beoinfo website.

As the mayor announced, the EBRD is covering the costs of the process of selection of the consultant for public-private partnership in the field of construction of four underground garages in the city and the reconstruction and construction of new BG voz railway stations.

He added that the improvement of operations of BG voz would contribute to an increase in the number of citizens of Belgrade using this form of transportation.

- Every day about 34,000 citizens of Belgrade are using BG voz services and my opinion is that it is an exceptional thing and that it should be a part of integrated public city transportation system. This is exactly the reason why we insist so much that the EBRD gives the green light to Serbian Railways as soon as possible to start the implementation of this project - said Mali.

The mayor stressed that the EBRD was also interested in lending consultants for public-private partnership projects in the field of energy efficiency to the City of Belgrade for free.

As announced, the director of the EBRD will take part in the event "Belgrade Investment Days" that will be held between September 21 and 23.
