Tagor Elektronic, a manufacturer of electronic circuits, and Austria's System Industrie Electronic Holding AG signed an agreement on strategic partnership on Friday (5 June 2015) in Nis.

Tagor CEO Goran Jovanovic stressed that the agreement called for the two companies to join forces, land new deals and create new jobs.

- Thanks to the cooperation with the Austrian company, we will enter the market of Germany, which has been our goal since we founded the factory five years ago. New deals will allow for even faster development of Tagor and the boost of production that is currently at EUR 5 million annually - Jovanovic pointed out.

He said that the common idea of the management of Tagor Elektronic and System Industrie Electronic Holding AG was to open a joint "smart" factory, that is, a factory where Tagor employees would be designing products at the buyer's request.

Jovanovic explained that the opening of "smart" factories enables companies to employ highly qualified workers and have more stable contracts with buyers.

- In addition to current 100 workers, we can hire another 50 new workers in the existing facility, but when the number of employees come close to 150, it will be a sign that we can lay the foundation stone for the new facility on the land we bought from the city three years ago - said Jovanovic.

Andreas Haidentaler, a representative of the Austrian Embassy to Serbia, underlined that Austria was supporting cooperation between System Industrie Electronic Holding AG and Nis-based Tagor Elektronic.

Haidentaler reminded that Austria was the biggest investor in Serbia given that 500 Austrian companies had invested a total of EUR 2.9 billion in the Serbian economy.
