"Bayer MaterialScience" changes name in "Covestro"

"Bayer" announced its new "MaterialScience" company name will be "Covestro".

As it was communicated from "Bayer", it will become effective as of September 1, 2015.

"Bayer" is planning to step into the stock exchange with "Covestrom" by mid 2016 latest. The plant that "Bayer MaterialScience" becomes separate company was presented in September 2014.

"Covestro" name originated from combination of words which reflect identity of new company. Letters C and O come from cooperation ("collaboration"), while VEST stands for huge investment in production programs ("invested"). Last letters, STRO, tell the company is trong ("strong"). It is strong in the field of innovations, on the market, workforce, it was stated in the announcement.
