Law on pre-harvest funding becomes effective
New Law on funding
and provision of funding agricultural production, popularly called Law
on pre-harvest funding , is becoming effective today.
The Law, which was promoted at 82nd International Agricultural Fair
in Novi Sad, was adopted five months ago at the initiative of the Ministry of
agriculture, as the minister of agriculture and environmental protection, Snezana
Bogosavljevic Boskovic said.
The minister of agriculture particularly outlined that in line with the Law,
deposit for loans will not be real estate as it used to be but there is an
option that future agricultural product is deposit.
The minister announced that as of June 1, they will start promotion of the Law and education of all interested.
According to her, bog technical support in preparation of the law on funding and provision of funding agriculture as well as set up of the pre-harvest funding system was provided to the ministry by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Food and Agriculture Organization.
