Indonesian Etira is coming to Kovin - 350 people to be hired in mushrooms processing plant
Leading Indonesian mushrooms production, "Etira" through its Serbian company, "Delta Danube" rented 7 ha in industrial zone in Kovin and thus starts process of plant construction in the investment which should total EUR 9 m and to hire 350 people.
The ambassador of Indonesia in Belgrade, Harry J. Kandou, attended the contract signing between the Kovin municipality and the investor. On behalf of the municipality, the contract on rent on 49 years with all other elements of this business cooperation was signed by the president SanjaPetrovic and on behalf of the investor, head of "Delta Danube" Nebojsa Panic. Another party expressed satisfaction for the fact that finally young people and the unemployed will have the chance to get a job but it is believed that this is only beginning of future cooperation and further investments.
It is expected that the first investment stage will cost EUR 3 m and some 150 people will be hired for production start. By the end of the year, the first harvest of mushrooms as well as their processing should start for further sale and export.
The investment will then continue towards its final objective of 25 tons of mushrooms a day, the head, Nebosja Panic, said.
