From now on, people can enjoy a virtual cruise on the Danube thanks to Street View photos on Google Maps that show all the beauties of the Danube, the second longest river in Europe.
Google made photos of the Danube in the summer 2014, taking them across Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania.
- The collection of photos taken alongside the Danube is one of our biggest and the first to contain photos from six countries. Now anyone can go on a cruise down the River Danube and discover unforgettable places such as the City of Belgrade, Budapest and the Danube canyon - said Ulf Spitzer, the program manager of the Street View service.
All these photos are taken by means of a tracker set up on the ship MB Treasures which takes passenger on recreational cruises on the Danube.
