Union drvoacquires former Svilajnac-based Beko plant - Work for 30 people
Belgrade-based Union drvo bought from the Svilajnac municipality halls of former Opštine Beko plant for some RSD 500 m where 30 people will be hired for a start.
On Friday, March 6, 2015, president of the municipality,
Predrag Milanovic and the owner and director at Union drvo, Aleksandar Helc
signed the sales contract.
Union drvo bought a lot on 1,70 ha and production hall with office space and supplementary
facilities, on 3.000 m2 and it will deal
with production in Svilajnac.
President of the municipality, Predrag Milanovic said that the contract signing ends privatization in Svilajnac and that all departmets which were publicly-owned and in bankruptcy, got the owner.
He outlined that this is ninth privatization though which some 500 people were hired in Svilajnac and theer will be 600 of them when Union drva starts operating at its full capacity.
In ten days, Union drvo will publish job advertisement and total company investment in the facility acquisition is some million euros.
