Zrenjanin yesterday signed a drinking water treatment agreement with the representatives of Italian company Zilio Spa. The document was signed by Gruppo Zilio Country Manager for Serbia Nenad Obradovic and Goran Tadic, the director of the public plumbing and sewerage company Vodovod i kanalizacija, in the presence of Zrenjanin Mayor Cedomir Janjic and Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Manzo.
The Italian ambassador pointed out that it was another cooperation deal between Zrenjanin and the Italian economcy sector, adding that there were few more Italian companies in that area and they were all satisfied with the business environment.
- Zilio is bringing not only clean water, but also a new model of finance. I hope that the project will benefit Zrenjanin as well as all neighboring places - said Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Manzo.
Manzo noted that some Italian textile companies had been operating in Zrenjanin for years, stressing he was particularly satisfied with the agreement because it would expand cooperation with Italian firms in the field of technology that should be upgraded.
Nenad Obradovic said that Gruppo Zilio was a company tackling the problem of polluted water for 55 years and having over 100 successfully implemented projects in Italy alone.
