Although hit by catastrophic floods in May 2014, Serbia grossed EUR 1.1 billion from foreign tourists in the first 11 months of the previous year. The number of tourists grew 12 percent with Belgrade still topping the list of the most visited destinations. The capital city was also a place where several luxury hotels were opened last year and where famous hotel chains Hilton, Marriott and Holiday Inn plan to open their hotels soon.
