The assets of the chicken meat production and processing company Agroziv from Zitiste will be put up for sale on February 17 so this company could raise money to settle the claims of Belgrade-based Novi Bek, it was announced on the website of the Court of Commerce in Zrenjanin.

Inventory and appraisal of the assets were done in late 2014, and their total estimated value is at RSD 314.7 million.

Starting price will equal 60% of the estimated value. Bids will be accepted from all interested persons who pay a security deposit amounting to a tenth of the estimated value of the subject of sale by the court hearing date.

This is not the first attempt to sell Agroziv's assets.

Agroziv's owner is Srbijagas. This once successful chicken meat manufacturer got into serious business problems - production is halted, and its facilities are rented to Belgrade-based Mibras.

Agroziv's facilities now employ fewer workers, and 600 of them were left without job when the owner was changed and have been protesting since May 2014 requesting the payment of late salaries, among other things.
