VOICE:NIS pays lower ore rent fees amounts

The Oil Industry of Vojvodina (NIS) pays Vojvodina and local self-governances less ore rent fee although official reports show the company has been increasing domestic oil and gas production scope, the Vojvodina-research center (VOICE) writes, stating documentation information.

According to data of the Provincial Secretariat for energy and mineral raw materials, in 2014, NIS paid to Vojvodina budget RSD 224,9 million for mineral raw materials exploitation at the territory of Vojvodina while in 2013 the company paid RSD 236,3 million and in 271,7 million in 2012.

During 2014, NIS paid for ore rent fee to Vojvodina self-governances RSD 1,13 billion, during 2013, 1,18 billion, while in 2012, NIS paid RSD 1,36 billion.

At the same time, in the previous three years, NIS earned RSD 245 billion from Vojvodina resources while it paid RSD 4,4 billion to Vojvodina and its local self-governances in that period.

In a year when it paid almost 11% lower ore rent fee amount, in 2013, NIS increased production scope pf domestic oil and gas for two percent.
