(Aleksandar Obradovic)

The head of the Electric Power Industry of Serbia, Aleksandar Obradovic, has said today that by the end of winter period i.e. heating season there will definitely not be electricity price increase and said electrical and energy system is stable.

Obradovic outlines that EPS made a series of good business decisions in the previous period. For instance, it started buying electricity when it is cheap and sell it when it is expensive.

As he said, landfills are at very good level and just in case, EPS provided additional imported coal quantities in case we encounter gas crises similar to the one few years ago so EPS is ready for that scenario as well.

- Citizens can be calm and EPS will remain stable electricity supplier. There definitely won’t be electricity increase during the entire winter period and heating season – Obradovic said.

On TV Pink, he said that not even EPS business plans for 2015 contain planned electricity consumption.

-However, by the end of the first quarter 2015, we have to make new financial analysis and see what is with our business balances having in mind floods which caused great damage to EPS - u. As I have said, there will be electricity but it has its price – Obradovic said.
