BG Mibras expands chicken meat production in Zitiste

Chicken processing slaughter in Zitiste operates again and expands production. After Agroziv stepped into problems and when big, financial problems appeared, there was danger that 500 people lose their jobs.

Belgrade-based BG Mibras bought or rented current capacities. Now, more than 500 people are employed who process 20.000 chickens a day.

- At the moment, we have organized, mutual production with 14 cooperative farms, and we are also planning capacity increase since one of the production challenges is Russian market - Vladimir Lazic, GM at BG Mibras, said.

Within chicken production, the company with the headquarters in Zitiste and Big Bull slaughter in Bacinci at Sid, is planning to take over the leading market position.
