Turn of events - "Putnik" bought by "Aciona Investment Limited" for 41.61m EUR
On Friday (April 20, 2007), "Putnik" went to Russian financial corporation "Metropol". On the Belgrade Stock Exchange, its Cypriot company "Aciona Investment Limited" bought the package of 75.76% of stocks of "Putnik" for amount of 3.37 billion RSD, that is, 41.61m EUR.
The Cypriots bought 561,754 stocks at price of 6,000 RSD per stock. The offer of Russian businessman Dmitrij Lucenko, which was 5,500 RSD per stock and should have been accepted on Monday (April 23), became superfluous.
For this package of 75.76% of stocks, the difference in prices of the one that is paid and the one from the offer of Lucenko is 3.47m EUR. The Share Fund (the package of 70% of stocks), that is, the budget of Serbia, obtains the amount of 38.44m EUR. It would get 35.24m EUR from Lucenko.
The representatives of Lucenko claimed yesterday (April 20, 2007) that such sale of the package of stocks of the Share Fund on the Stock Exchange had damaged the budget of Serbia.
