Vitaminka grows with the new energy efficient equipment – Macedonian company gets a loan of EUR 3 m from EBRD

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) approved a loan of EUR 3 m to Vitaminka company, a leading provider food provider in Macedonia, specialized for products made of chocolate and salty chips.


The funds will be used for procurement of new energy efficient equipment for production and modernization of two production facilities; it was stated at the announcement delivered to Tanjug.


The loan will strengthen competitiveness of Vitaminka at local and regional markets, increase production efficiency and finally cut business costs. The project funding will be carried out through EBRD‘s Program for local enterprises (LEF) for long-term funding of SMEs in the Balkans, in Turkey and in the south and east Mediterranean region.



Vitaminka exports more than 45% of its products to Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia Albania, USA and other countries.

New loan is the third transaction between EBRD and Vitaminka.

EBRD started funding Macedonian economy in 1993 since when more than 80 projects totaling EUR 1, 1 billion were signed.
